I have come across most of Birkbeck’s post-graduate students coming from the top 5 (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, LSE) UK universities to do their degrees. Also, Birkbeck teachers are active industry-leading research experts. A very high percentage of them have PhD degrees from Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Stanford UCL, LSE, and other top international universities. So, you can not compare Birkbeck with other traditional universities. Also, Birkbeck, the University of London second oldest university in London. It has 5-7 Nobel laureates one British Prime and many Internationally famous figures who studied and taught lessons here. Currently, 3 UK state secretaries and 15 cabinets are Birkbeck Alumni. Birkbeck has many joint courses with UCL- imperial & LSE which many people don't know. Therefore, I'm sorry to say that your ranking of Birkbeck is wrong. That's the very reason, Birkbeck doesn't believe in the UK rankings. And in the job market, Birkbeck graduates are highly rated. Birkbeck graduates after 5 years of graduation, earn on the same level as Uxbridge graduates ( that's from the British government records of 2022/2023).
